Puppies,Blind Side,Grayson and Basketball

Well Lizzie had her puppies! Last firday the 28th we went to Chili's with Mady and a few of her friends. I left to get Brad from Tressa's mom and Mady called me and said she had her puppies. Lizzie was on couch and a puppy was in one of my slippers. They put her in her pool and she had 4 more. Her litter was only 5 puppies. 3 girls and 2 boys. We are gonna keep one of the blonde girls. the kids have named her Daisy. Three of them are blonde. They look pretty cool. The kids have been great help and they are really excited. We took them to the vet and she said everything was fine. We will not breed Lizzie again. The vet said it would be a risk. So later this year we will have her spade and she can relax for the rest of her life. The puppies are very cute the only bad part is that Tres seems to think that the one we are keeping is the one that whines the most.Brad has been playing basketball and he is doing pretty good. His team is not that good but he seems like he is doing good and enjoying the games. He is so competitive and hates to lose so he gets down we the team is not successful. The first game was the toughest. We lost in overtime and he really took it hard. I am coaching hime just like I did Mady so i can get them as ready as I can for 7th grade tryouts. I would feel guilty if they tried out for basketball and I didn't help them get prepared.I went to the TCEA conference in Austin for a week. I stopped at Grayson's and spent the night. We talked about football and and where his son Gavin is going to college and then the next morning we drove around a fed cow's and he showed me his new tractor. It has a sun roof in it and he says he likes it cause now he doesn's have to bend his head to see the high bails. He can just look the the roof. Had a good time driving around like the old days. When I got to Austin I hear Leighanne Touhy speak. She is the mother from the movie "The Blind Side" about Michael Oher. She did a super job and I bought her book and had her sign it. The conference was ok, I saw alot of cool tecnology stuff but not alot of people to hang out with.Baseball is about to start. that is probably Brad's least favorite sport. I need to do a better job of backing off and not getting onto him so much about baseball and his skill. He has been pitching for about 2 months now with Donnie Elliot. To me he seems to be doing pretty good. We will see if he continues to want to put in the effort to become a good pitcher. I don't think it is for everyone. They also want to make him a catcher. He really liked playing catcher last summer for the Rockhounds.Mady has been really enjoying basketball and is playing on the A team. She has a good shot but is pretty slow so it is tough for her to stay on the court when they go man to man or play a fast team. She has a good little crossover move and can go with her left hand. She was the FJH representative at the high school game for the free throw contest. She made 2 out of 5 but didn't win. She recently hurt her wrist and had to sit out a game. It was funny because when it first happened she had her hand in a sling and her wrist killed her and she could barely move it. When she had to sit on the bench the whole game she hated it. After the game she said she was ready to practice and get back on the court. She is in the middle of club volleyball. It is very busy and I hope she doesnt get too burned out on it. I am hoping she will hit a growth spurt and grow. She has the skills but she is small for her grade. She is having fun though in both sports and really enjoying 7th grade. I am very proud of both of them and look forward to watching alot more of their activities. We`have started watching the bachelor every monday night. I know it is a chick flick but I am addicted to it. I have also been watching hawaii 5-0. Work is going ok and the job and Wolter's has opened. I did not apply and I went and talked to Mr. Adair about where I fit in the district. It was a good visit and I jave a better idea of what he is looking for. I like south campus and hope I stay there though.Well that is enough for now, I am going to play cards in a Texas Hold em tournament tonight. Wish me luck.Ya'll be safe out there!![youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6DWHnd8BLw&feature=youtu.be]

Overtime, Baseball, Trailer and Lizzie's Puppies

The month of January is almost over and the new year has started pretty good. I spent one more weekend at the deer lease with Chad and wenke. I took my last bottle of my first batch of wine. They liked it and I was proud of how it came out. We are making more now and it should be ready in about a month. I have been watching the NFL playoffs and there has been some upsets. I have started my diet and stopped drinking for awhile. This weekend wasn't too bad. I know I have to watch myself at party's and dinners but I have committed myself to stay with the program. We haven't done much the last coupole of weeks. Mady has been busy with basketball and her team is playing very well. She scored 6 points in a tournament game and that was good because she aggressively went to the basket on a drive. Brad had his first basketball game and we lost 13-11. He wasn't as aggressive as he has been maybe it's because of first game jitters. This weekend the Milliorn kids both lost their games in overtime.Brad is signed up for baseball and we need to get into more of a routine for him pitching. I am looking forward to it and anxious to see how he does there and behind the plate.I am having a trailer built for my four-wheeler. The Ag-mechanics students are building it and I should get it sometime in March. They want to show it at the rodeo and then I can have it. Our dog Lizzie should be having puppies within the next couple of weeks. We have everything ready with the pool and I even took her to the vet. We plan on keeping one of her puppies this time. She is 6 and at the age where we shouldn't breed her anymore. It will be exciting and dealing with a new puppy is gonna irritate me but I feel we need to do it.I will be bottling up my last batch of wine tonight. It still has to sit for another month though. And I wil not be drinking any of it for awhile.Enough for nowYa'll be safe out there!!

Pajamas, Boyfriend, Cottonbowl, and Ground Force Drifter

Christmas was pretty good this year I think the kids got everything they wanted. We didn't hunt over the holidays but Mady and Brad both have shot deer this year. Next year we will focus on getting a big one. Tres wanted boots and I was able to find the ones she liked. I usually don't wear long pants pajamas but Tressa's mom bought me some Mickey Mouse ones and I have enjoyed wearing them. Basically because they are Disney, my favorite place in the world. She also got me some Texans slippers so I am set for relaxing. When the new year gets here I wanna write more on my blog and also write more about my life in the past. I am gonna stop drinking for awhile and get healthy and lose some pounds. Tressa and the kids got me and food saver vacuum packer. I am very excited about making sausage and vacuum packing it. I also wanna cook chicken and whatever else on the weekend and seal it all up.Brad got a Groundforce Drifter from santa. It is a really cool go kart that is low to the ground and all the kids love it. Mady got a radio phone charger and it stays in her room and her phone plugs in. She has really been acting like a teenager. She has a little boyfriend named Harrison Lee. He seems like a good kid but she is my baby so I am a little freaked out about it. Funny thing is before they were boyfriend and girlfriend he talked to me all the time now the only thing he says is "hi Mr. Milliorn". I think she really likes him and they text and chat and he goes to some of her games. He comes over alot and seems to be nice. Tressa really likes him and has him in class so that is a good thing. I just get nervous wanting all this to slow down. For 12 years I was the only male she wanted to hold her hand or make her happy. It just makes me sad. I am happy for her but sad for me. I am very proud of her though for how she is handling it. Some of her friends are goofy and boy crazy out in public. Mady seems to be reserved and I appreciate that. She also seems to tel us alot about how she feels about him so I am happy about that also. The year came to a close and we had a good New Years at the house. Friends came and went through the night. We had a bunch of 7th graders over and I set up a light in the driveway and we had a bunch of food. It was really good and Mady and Brad had a blast with their friends. My birthday we didn't do much. We didn't even go eat or anything. I can't even remeber what we did friday night of my birthday. Maybe Mady had a game or something. But I know we didn't do much because I didn't open my present until the next day. Oh I know what it was we went to Chris Bedford's parents to watch the Cotton bowl. It was pretty cool. Beau and Brandee, Dave, Bedford and his wife and Frank Wetuski along with Goldstraw were all there. We used to hang out there in high school and Beau ask Bedford's mom if we could watch the game there like the old days and she said yes. the funny thing was that in the old days we would have a ton of beer and no food. This time all the wives brought a dish and we had more food than we did beer. It was a good celebration and LSU won so Mady was happy. The year ended , my birthday was over and it was time to start my new years resolution healthy and lose weight. More to come...... Ya'll be safe out there!![youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcKBQANj0aM&feature=youtu.be][youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIm9mECOFEA&feature=youtu.be]

Texans, MNF,Cops and Neu

It has been forever since I have posted. I have been putting it off for so long. I have been doing and seeing things I wanted to post just have not made time. I plan on making time from now on. Alot has happened. The Texans closed the season 6-10 alot of people were screaming for Kubiak to be fired. I wasn't I just felt like he needed a new defensive coordinator. We that ended up happening and now we hired Wade Phillips. I am pretty excited because he brings instnt credibility to our defense. The last home game though we had a good tailgate. Some police officers I work with at the high school . Me and Tres and the kids set up and the parking lot was almost empty. It was a 3:00 game and we got there at 11:30 so we really were close. It was cold and windy and tres had made chili. I also brought some sausage. Jason Lapoint and Norman Pocs showed. I have known them for quite awhile and they work as SRO officers at DPISD. We had a good time. Oh, I also made cornbread with sausage in it. I had made some over christmas and it has been a hit. I know this may be a little not in order. But it's been long since I wrote so I am gonna break them up into several blog's. Anyway we had beers and ate and Lapoint brought a great enchilada dip. The Texans ended up winning and it was a great game. Afterward we went to Mark and Brenda Neu's to watch the Seahawks. He is a big Seahawks fan. They beat St. louis to make the playoffs. Me and Mark have become real good buddies. He has went through some tough times lately with him having cancer. I hope I was a good friend during that time and I hope I can continue. Me and Tres have a good time with them. I have many friends who I have grown up with. and he is one of the guys I have met that since I have been an adult has becoime good friends with. Well the Texans season ended with the firing of a the DC and hiring of Wade Phillips. I am really excited for next year and have even thought of trying to secure two more season tickets so the kids can go with us. They are getting at the age where they want to go to every game. We also took them to the Monday Night Football game. We took the kids then and made chili and sausage as well. It was cold also and we met Natalie and Adam Clanton. We have known her since she was in high school and she dated jake Jordan who lived with us and passed away. (that is a whole nother story all together for a later date) andyway Adam works for channel 2 and I have posted about him before when we saw him at the Sam Houston game. Anyway they came out as well as Dale and cheryl and Bull and Summer. Chipper Holt was walking by and I saw him and they came over to taste chili as well. Tres makes very good deer chili and everyone complimented on it that night. Texans lost to the Ravens in overtime. The Texans have been snakebiut all year and have lost in the final minutes of about 5 games. One or two plays here and there and we are 10-6 or 11-5. That is what I am getting ready for next year. I will end this post and close the Texans season. We had a good time tailgating and hopefully made good memories with the kids. Go Texans!!!!! Next post coming soon Ya'll be safe out there!!

Milliorn's Winery!!

My buddies Eric Wenke and Chad Grant started making wine. They bought the equipment and me and Brad went over there and saw the process. I kinda enjoyed it and it looked cool to do. So I went t0 Defalco's which is a store that sells wine and beer making stuff and got started. I bought everything I needed. I even bought two different types of wine making kits. The first one we made was Blackberry Cabernet. It was pretty easy to make, all I did was follow the instructions that came with the kit. First thing you do is pour some benodite packet in the wine bucket with 2 cups of hot water. Then you empty the big bag of juice in the wine bucket and fill the rest up with cool water until it reaches the 6 gallon mark. After that you sprinkle the packet of yeast on top and put the lid on and cover it tight. You then stick the "bubbler" that helps release the co2 is placed in the top of the lid. It is filled halfway up with water and will start bubbling during fermentation. You take that bucket and you put it in a safe place for 5-7 days. We put ours in our closet. After 7 days you take it out and siphon it into the big ozarka bottle leaving most of the sediment in the bottom. It will sit for another 10-14 days and continue fermenting. At this point you will put in the rest of the ingredients. If it is a fruit based wine you put in the fruit juice bag and then the clarity packets and another packet that clears the co2. At this time you can add alcohol. Wenke adds Brandy I decided to add a bottle of "Old Grandad" in honor of my Uncle Lanky who always drank it. You then put the "bubbler back on and let it sit for another 14 days. After that you check it and see if it is clear. If you see anything floating in it let it sit longer. Ours was clear!! So we got the bottles we had bought and collected. You begin siphoning into each bottle. When that was done it was time to cork them. We first put a big bottle in the fridge for sampling. We used the "corker" and corked all 28 bottles. We made labels and labeled all of them. It was a big success. The wine tasted pretty good and it made me proud to have made something that was drinkable. I will contiue to make more. Right now I have a Merlot fermenting and we will see how that goes. Let me know if you would like some and I will give you a bottle.

MILLIORN'S WINERY!!! OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!!!!

Opening Day,Finnegan,Cross Country,White Ghost and 12 Year Old Driving

It was thanksgiving Day when I first started this post and we were getting ready to go eat at Tressa's dad's. It has been a while since I posted. I have just been putting it off but need to get back on track because writing relaxes me. Since we last talked I have been doing alot of hunting. So far I have shot a small ten point and a doe on opening weekend and a doe this past hunt. I love my new stand but haven't seen as many deer pass by it as I would like. I think it may have something to do with it being new and having a new feeder there. The ten point came out on the other side of the draw about 230 yards away and it was about 10 in the morning. I had stayed late to see if the deer were moving later in the morning and it paid off. Jim had shot at a buck earlier that morning and I wanted to see if it might come back and cross the pipeline. I don't know if the buck I shot was the same one but it did cross on his side. I also sat in randy's stand later that weekend and shot a doe. Me and the kids will leave tonight and go to centerville and spend time with Rick Holt. It will be a good time and maybe both kids can get a deer. Tressa is gonna stay here and I think try and get all out christmas shopping done online. She should have a relaxing time as well.

My Texans are stinking it up we have lost 4 in a row in the last few minutes of games. It is just sick and makes me pissed because I see us doing stupid stuff , like not using the clock right and our defense is on pace to being the worst pass defense in the history of the NFL. I am discouraged but will keep backing them to the end. We did end up beating the Titans and we got to take both kids.Andre Johnson got in a fight with Courtland Finnegan. It was great and really fired up the team. I hate Finnegan.
The kids are enjoying school. Mady made the basketball team and had a good year in volleyball. The coaches are making all the girls in athletic's run cross country as well. So Mady is hating that. But her social life is really active she is laughing and always having friends over and I think she is friends with everyone which is good.
Me and the kids went and hunted after thur. It was great to be there in centerville. It was cold and we woke up friday morning. We got out there and a white donkey comes walking through the woods scared Mady to death. Me and Brad were putting the cover on four wheeler and I hear her say "oh my gosh what is that " in a scared voice. She is pushing her brother at the white image that turned out to be a donkey. It was funny. Anyway we sit and we see a coyote come out I tell Mady no we aren't shooting it. Then it comes out again and Mady ask to shoot. I say it will screw up the hunting. she says "I don't care I just wanna shoot something" so I give her the gun and she shoots the coyote. I go get it and bring it to stand. We sit longer and sure enough a spike walks out in the road and Mady gets a shot at that and gets it. Lucky little brat. Well now it is Brad's turn, oh when Mady shot the coyote Brad was watching Talledaga Nights on the IPOD. He looks up and says, "ya'll coulda warned me". So later that evening he shot a doe. We are back to Mady's turn so the rule was if a deer comes out Mady shoots it is another animal comes out Brad shoots it. We spent the night and then drove to Livingston and hungout at our lease the next day. The kids played and we sat in my stand but didn't see anything. We came on home later that night. Tressa had painted the kids room and surprised them when they got home it was great. I have also been letting Mady drive my truck a little just in the neighborhood. What the heck am I thinking.

Now we are back at work and the weekly grind. We finished our wine and it is bottled. I will post a separate blog about that process.

Ya'll be safe out there!!

SHSU,Big Doe,Zone Champs, We are the Tigers!

We went to the Sam Houston state game last saturday. We took the kids and they had alot of fun. I got tickets way down in front and we were in the endzone. I haven't been to a game in a long time but I think I will go more often. We saw Tommy Grisham and his dad there and Brad got his picture taken with them as you can see. We also saw Adam Clanton , he is Natalie White's husband. He works on channel two and does the sports. It was good to see him , he is a nice guy and I have been twittering with him. I hope someday my kids will want to go to SHSU or SFA. It was a great place and I would love to send my money there for them to go.

Deer season has started. Last weekend was youth weekend. I normally let Mady shoot first since she is the oldest. I had a new stand built this year big enough for all three of us. Dale gave me some chairs so now there are three chairs in a 4 X 8 box. It fits us nicely. Anyway, we saw some deer saturday night but Mady couldn't get a close enough shot. Then sunday morning was the same. It was Halloween so Mady wanted to come home and trick or treat. Brad wanted to stay and hunt sunday night. he said he just knew a deer would come out. So Mady rode home with Stephen and me and Brad stayed and sure enough a big doe came out right in front of us at 118 yards away. Brad was watching "Talledega Nights" on the ipod so I pulled his head phones off and handed him the gun. He sat on my lap for a sec, then stood up and steadied the gun. He said he was ready and I pulled back the safety. He made a great shot, she ran about 10 yards and fell. He was so excited and talked the whole time when we went to get her. We cleaned the deer and even made it home in time for him to do a little trick or treating. He did fall asleep on the way home and woke up in northshore crying because it was late and he wasn't gonna get to trick or treat but it all worked out. I will go back this weekend and hunt. It should be a good weekend and relaxing with my friends. I really enjoy taking them hunting. I never got to do stuff like that with my dad so I think I am getting as much out fo this or more than they are LOL. I just want us to make some good memories and them look back on good times spent out in the woods.
Brad lost his playoff football game. We played the Falcons and they were similar to us but they had a huge running back that we ended up not being able to stop. We kept the game close but had a touchdown called back which I thought was ridiculous. It was kinda sad because Brad cried because we lost. I did like that he made it important and showed emotion. Looking forward to seeing him mature and grow in football the next couple of years. I did tell him I was sorry he didn't play as much defense. I will give him more chances on defense next year. Overall it was a good year and we ended up 7-3. They sing a song that Andy Miller leads them in after each victory. It is pretty cool and the kids love it. The video I believe is at the bottom. Brad is the one jumping up and down through it.
Mady's team played DPJH for the zone championship in volleyball and won. It was a great match all the girls on both sides are great friends. It went three games and was close all three. Mady played pretty good but I can tell she gets kinda jittery and doesn't want to make a mistake. But it was so exciting seeing your child's team win and seeing her jump around and get excited about it. She is really enjoying 7th grade. She is becoming good friends with Christine Holden who lives around the corner. I am beginning to watch her build these life long friendships that I have been talking about.Dan Lounsbury is a huge raider fan and I said I would mention how important the chiefs vs raiders game is this weekend. So there I did it. the Texans lost to the colts on MNF and it was horrible and I am not talking about that today.
I have started making wine. Wenke and Chad Grant make it and so I went and bought a kit and am trying it. the first batch is done on December 1st. I will take some pics and post them about the process on a seperate blog in the next couple days. Can't wait to taste it.
I am done for now, ya'll stay safe out there!!

Mady's BFF's, Brad football,Exciting beating the chiefs

WOW!!! It seems like it has been months since I last posted. I have been super busy and the hay fever this year has knocked me on my butt. Where do I start? The kids have been busy and Madyson has won a few volleyball games. She played very good last night against laporte. She is serving more she just needs to build up her strength. The last couple weeks there has been about 10 7th graders in our cul de sac and they play kick ball and ride their bikes. She also been using her phone more texting all the time and she seems to have a group of girls in the neighborhood that she is becoming close to such as Eden Dombrowa and Christine Holden. She is friends with Dalton a boy who moved in a couple doors down as well. They all seem to be having a good time and building what seems to be long lasting friendships. She even posted on her facebook a picture and said me and my two bff's and it was Dalton and Eden. It makes me happy to see her socializing and having a good time. Seems like she is becoming a teenagers way too fast. I miss the little girl and boy in this picture.

Brad has been doing a good job in football and we are coming down to the end of the season. We played south houston last saturday and it was a blow out so we got to move some kids around and play some different positions. Brad caught two extra point conversion. The second was supposed to be to Mason Vaughn but Garrett Pinnault didn't get it over Brad's head. He is getting really tall and becoming a pretty good athlete. I have tried to play him on defense more but I want to be fair to the rest of the boys. I just hate seeing him upset and down with me because I don't put him in on defense every series. It just kills me. I will plan things next year better. He has fun though and really started building relationships with some good guys.

We went to the Texans game and we beat the chiefs in one of the most exciting games in awhile. The roof was open , hay fever was killing me but it was still awesome. Andre Johnson caught a TD pass in the final minute in the endzone right below us. It was crazy we were down most of the game. We are struggling on defense but hopefully Kubiak can shore that up.

We have practice tonight then TIFI night at the high school game. Maybe I will post more about all the tweeting I have been doing. It is pretty cool!!

Texans beat down, Red Wagon Tailgaters,Casey Hampton and my wisdom tooth.

How stinking bad were the Texans on sunday? Oh gosh they just totally got beat up by the giants. Me and Tressa went to game and met Bull , Summer and Mamaw. We didn't tailgate because of my hay fever acting up but we did stop by Eric Filkin's and the Red Wagon Tailgaters. Him and Randall sit next to us. We have sat next to them the last 6 years. They are from Cypress area. The funny thing is we only see them at the 8 home games all year and at those games it is like we are best friends. It's pretty cool. Here is a picture of me and Tressa with Eric at their Tailgate. I did eat a little there before we went inside. They won tailgaters of the year last year and here is a picture of all of them at that winning day last year. We always have a good time with them. We also sit by some guys who dress up like the Wendy's character from Wendy's hamburger place. They do a funny thing with their hands everytime we get a first down. We didn't have alot to celebrate that day except the footlong hotdog Tressa brought back from the concession stand for me to eat.

Heck we didn't have much to celebrate the whole weekend. Brad lost his football game. That is the second loss in a row. I am not as upset with the loss as how bad we fell apart. We played a good Galveston team and when we got down alot of the kids kinda quit. The only bright spot was that Brad was a captain that day and they had Casey Hampton do the coin flip. He is the nose guard for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Brad got to go out and shake his hand and meet him. I will attach a pic of the actual coin toss on my next posting.
Mady didn't have much going on this weekend she is busy being a social butterfly and hanging out with her friends riding bikes all weekend and running around the neighborhood. She has been staying at home alone some lately and being a bigtimer. We need to get her back going with golf so she will be ready when the spring season starts.I have to get a wisdom tooth pulled today, not wanting to do that at all. I am about to take a sleeping pill and go in and have this guy cut on my mouth.....and I am paying him to do that. But hopefully I will get it over with and wont have many problems. I may be out of commission for a couple days. I told Ms. Kouba I needed to get this done before deer season, of course she rolled her eyes at that.
BTW I am really looking forward to deer season and getting up to the lease a bunch. I even bought me new soles for my work boots !!haha!
Wish me luck today....i would rather eat a crap sandwich than get this tooth pulled.

Audie, a lose, kids growing up, and cool weather!

I haven't posted in forever it seems. I went ahead and changed my title. Audie Johnson who is my son's future coach said "Marc's Thoughts" was to girlie so I went with "The Milliorn Report". Anyway, The Texans won a big game againest Oakland we did it with basically a JV team. Andre Johnson was out and we still didn't have Cushing or Duane Brown. That Arian Foster is turning into a stud. We play the giants next week at home. They will be big and physical. In honor of Steve Corry I says "let's bring the wood Texans!!"Brad lost his first football game of the season. It was to the space raiders and we lost in quadrupyle overtime. It was a real heartbreaker. He has been doing a good job at tight end. I want to try and get him on defense a little more. He is real aggressive and keeps asking me during the game. I am trying to keep it as equal as I can with all the kids playing alot. Our record now is 5-1 and now we have to go down and play the galveston hurricanes. They are very athletic and will be a big challenge. I really think he is growing up way to fast. How about this picture to the left of Brad knocking this guy down? He says the funniest things and is turning into a real nice young man. I think there are a couple girls in the neighborhood that like him but he will not admit he likes girls right now. He loves watching football with me and we try and cheer for opposite teams just so we can go at it and he likes to rub it in when he wins. He still likes to hug and kiss on me so I appreciate that. I hear it won't be long and that will be over.Mady's volleyball team had a tough game the other day. They played Pearland east and lost. She has really become an almost teenager and I hate it. She is sooo mature and thinks dad is a moron. It is ok though I know she really doesn't. She has become more social and I can see her really maturing and that makes me happy and sad. It makes me proud to see her grow up and make good choices and become more independent but it makes me sad to see her not need me near as much as she used to.We have had a slight cool front and it has gotten me so ready for deer season. I have alot of hunts planned and want to spend alot of time relaxing and just getting away. I want to plan a hog hunt with a rancher from the "Craig Wilson Whitetail " outfitters. We can stay in a lodge and hunt hogs in the afternoon. Maybe some time after deer season. I have never put together a hunt like that and either Tinker or someone has so I want to do something like that this year. But I really just want to go relax and see some game out of my new stand.I am gonna try and post more later and sooner since I havent posted too much lately.Let me see.........who likes the dentist? I have to go and get a wisdom tooth pulled soon, and I dont think I know one person who likes to even go in a dentist office.Have a great day!

Tigers,Vikings,Hogs.........and Mamaw and Grandad

Well I am sitting here watching MNF and enjoyed a great ending to the game. Bears win a close one in the end. That poses my football question for today. The game is tied 17-17 with about 1:50 to go in the game. The bears get the ball down to 5 yard line. They can run clock down to 4 seconds. If you are the packers why don't you let them score and you get the ball back with about 1:40 to go in game? Let me know your thoughts? The mighty tigers won again saturday and now we are 5-0. We played the laporte cowboys and Brad played pretty good. he dropped and long pass that was frustrating but we will teach him how to have his hands so next time he will be ready. He did play defense at the end and we had to stop them with a goalline stand. It was really fun and that is the second game in a row that ended with a goalline stand. I think we are learning to win in close games and building some mental toughness. If you can say 9 year olds can get mentally tough(haha).Mady played in a volleyball tournament and they did great. They beat friendswood who beat us earlier in the week. Mady played with more confidence and was a digging machine. They ended up winning consolation. Mady is wearing the lime green lebero shirt.I went to the deer lease right after Brad's game for work weekend. We planted food plots and fixed feeders. I put windows on my new stand. I even saw a hog at a stand called the pea patch. I drove up and watched it for about 5 minutes before it ran off. I am really looking forward to this deer season. I have a nice stand and I have gotten more prepared as far as feeders and getting things ready than I really have before. I plan on relaxing and enjoying watching the kids enjoy the lease. The Texans lost to the cowboys and it was ugly. We did do some good tailgating before and after the game. We met Dale and Cheryl Rose at Summer and Bull's and followed them there. They are Brandee's parents. We made taquito's in the morning and Brat's and sausage after it was over. Here are the eggs and sausage being cooked for taquitos and Grandad doing his best impression of a BBQ cooker. They are great people who treat me and my family as if we are part of theirs. I really appreciate that and respect the heck out of them.Starting another work week and getting the kids ready for more sports events. Looking forward to the Texans whipping the raiders and I can throw it in Lounsbury's face. Wonder what we will bet on this year. Got any ideas?Go Vikings,Tigers, and Texans!!!!!!!!

Texans vs cowboys, Mady volleyball and a lunch duty discussion

Ok let me hear what you think about the Texans vs cowboys this sunday. Texans are 2-0 and the cowboys are 0-2. I think the Texans will man handle them and win going away in the 4th. The only thing that scares me is we are down 2 players. Brian Cushing is still on suspension and now Duane Brown has just been suspended for the same thing. They both took a banned substance and I know I know we can call them cheaters and all but that is a question I will pose in a minute. Anyway let me know what you think about the Texans vs cowboys?
Well Mady had a volleyball game tonight, we lost to friendswood, they were pretty good. It was the first game she played as lebero. She was a little timid and not as aggressive but I hope she understands that is her job and she needs to be a ball hog on the back row. She is becoming more and more social and into her friends. I think athletics has helped this out and I can see her starting to build friendships with girls that may last a lifetime. She is also doing great in school and I am very proud of her. ..........I haven't said much about Brad but I will later, he has a big game saturday morning and I will let you know what the outcome is....go tigers!
Here is the question that was posed today during lunch duty. this comes from the great coach Louie Means in a discussion with Me and Tommy Grisham. Do you think it is fair for a guy like Michael Vick to get another chance like he did with the NFL after going to prison? And should he get paid all that money after being a felon? And what about Duane Brown and Brian Cushing is it fair for guys like that to just get 4 game suspensions. Tommy ask if it was you or I and we screwed up like they did would we get another chance at our job? Good questions? Louie feels like we need to pay every player the same. For instance every rookie should get paid 200k and then go up from there every year, what do you think?
Big games this weekend for the Deer and the Tigers and the Lady Vikings are in a tournament. In honor of the late Billy Carlisle I say to all three of these teams .....LET'S GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Texans, The Deer ,KISS and non-bloggers

Well kinda bummed today cause the Texans have another guy suspended. And on cowboy week no less. How good is Duane Brown's replacement Rashad Butler? The Deer have a big game this week also, we play laporte and we are game of the week on channel two news. I spoke with a lady from the chronicle about the longtime rivalry yesterday and she is doing an article about the game. I tried to give her as many memories about the events in the years past as I could. BTW I went with my buddy Mark Neu to the KISS concert on friday night it was pretty cool and brought back old memories. We had good seats and we were not the oldest but we certainly were not the youngest. I have seen them 5 times once in 5th grade then twice in high school with no make up and then me and Mark went about 4 years ago and then this friday. They are still a great show.Well I emailed alot of people about my blog and most were receptive but a few non-bloggers (Mr. Maas) didn't think I was a hip as him for having a blog sooooo BOOOOO to him. I told him don't be scared and ridicule what he doesn't understand. I am gonna attach a few pics of the concert. Have a super wednesday and GO TEXANS!!!

I have set up a blog and would like to express my thoughts and things I enjoy. Would like to hear from folks about things from football to deer hunting to blogging. I don't know if I am blogging correctly but this is how I am gonna start. Football has started and my son's tiger football team just won a huge triple overtime game against the Bay Area Sharks. Looking forward to a good Texans season and a good hunting season.
